Adam Henein was born in 1929 to a family of metalworkers in Cairo. In 1996 he established the International Sculpture Symposium in Aswan, and in 2014 the Adam Henein Museum in the grounds of his home in Cairo’s Haraniyya district. I am proud to be finally holding the exhibition, Mokhtar-Henein-Agop (100 Years of Egyptian Sculpture) at Meem Gallery. That marked the beginning of an artistic journey that catapulted Henein onto the international art scene.
